A Reference Site for People Who Cook Duck

DeliciousDuck exists because duck is treated as intimidating and expensive when it is neither — it simply follows different rules from chicken. Our job is to make those rules obvious.

How the site is organised

  • Learn

How duck works: cuts, fat, doneness, resting, safety, and the questions people actually search for.

  • Buy

Where to buy duck online and in person, what the labels mean, and how to judge quality before you pay.

  • Gear

The short list of pans, thermometers, and knives that make duck easier — and what you can skip.

  • Ingredients

Duck fat, stone fruit, aromatics, and the pantry pairings that make a duck dinner taste finished.

  • Tools

Interactive calculators and quick-reference charts for timing, doneness, portions, and substitutions.

Editorial principles

Specific over generic
Every page answers one question well. If a recipe needs a temperature, we give a temperature — not a range wide enough to be useless.
No invented credibility
We publish claims we can substantiate, and we distinguish desk research from firsthand testing — something is called tested or reviewed only when that experience actually occurred.
Recommendations you can audit
Product write-ups explain what a tool does and why it matters for duck. Affiliate relationships, where they exist, are disclosed on the page.
Built to be useful offline
Our tools run in the browser and our guides are written to be printed, screenshotted, or read one-handed next to a hot pan.

Read our affiliate disclosure for how commercial links are handled, our editorial standards for how pages are written and corrected, or contact us with a question or correction.
